NOTICE: LEOSA HR-218 POLICY CHANGES


Pursuant to LEOSA HR-218 law, clients will only be qualifying with ONE type of HANDGUN. Cards issued will no longer differentiate between which type of handgun is used. You do not need to sign up for separate sessions, as qualifying with one type of handgun, permits you to carry any handgun.

In order to optimize Range Safety, effective immediately, EVERYONE shooting on the Range is REQUIRED to have/use ELECTRONICALLY ENHANCED / AMPLIFIED HEARING PROTECTION. For those who are unable to provide their own, proper hearing protection will be available to RENT for $10.00 (CASH only). NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED.

Vintage Arms Training Center LLC will conduct handgun qualification courses for qualified retired and separated law-enforcement officers. Live-fire qualifications will be held at the Blue Mountain Sportsman Center in Cortlandt, New York.


The course of fire will follow the applicable law-enforcement handgun qualification standards published by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).


After successfully completing the qualification course, the participant will receive a Vintage Arms Training Center LLC LEOSA/HR 218 qualification photo-identification card. The card will show the participant’s name, qualification date, expiration date, and information for 24/7 verification of the qualification credentials.


The Vintage Arms qualification card documents successful completion of the firearms qualification. It does not replace the retired or separated officer’s photographic identification issued by their former law-enforcement agency or independently establish eligibility under 18 U.S.C. § 926C.


Registration must be completed online. Before submitting your registration, please print or save a copy showing your selected date and time. If there is a problem with your registration, Vintage Arms Training Center LLC will contact you by email.

You will receive an email confirmation shortly after completing your registration. The confirmation may be delivered to your junk or spam folder. If you do not receive it within a few minutes, please check those folders. Print or save the confirmation and bring it with your required documents to the qualification session.


The LEOSA/HR 218 Affidavit must be completed, signed, and notarized before arriving at the range.


The qualification will take place at the Blue Mountain Sportsman Center—not at the Vintage Arms Training Center classroom or retail location. Carefully review and follow the range directions and arrival instructions provided with your registration confirmation.
