Tri-State Multi State Handgun Permit Course
This is the only course of its kind offered in the New York Metro Area.
Successful completion of this course satisfies training requirements to apply for non-resident handgun permits in:
• Maryland
• Washington D.C.
• Massachusetts
Holding all three permits gives you handgun carry privileges in over 30 states plus Puerto Rico.
Note: "Proper Cause" is no longer required to apply in Maryland or D.C.
A live fire qualification is a required part of the course and takes place same day at:

This portion includes basic marksmanship, firearm handling, and safety proficiency under instructor supervision.
Required Items:
• Valid ID and a NYC or NYS Pistol License
• Unloaded firearm in a locked case
• 50 rounds of ammunition
• Magazine
• Pen and notepad
• Ear and eye protection
Dress Code:
• Pants with belt loops
• Rubber-soled shoes (no flip-flops)
• No low-cut shirts
Application paperwork for Maryland, D.C. and Massachusetts will be provided during class.
